Celebrating 14 Years in Peckham: Lucy Grainge Solo Exhibition ‘I need to move to think’ Marks Studio Anniversary Landmark
In the year of 2026, Sonsoles Print Studio (SPS) reached a major milestone: 14 years of creative chaos, community, and hand-pulled screen printing in the heart of Peckham.
To celebrate our 14th anniversary landmark, we are incredibly proud to present a brand-new summer exhibition, ‘I need to move to think’, featuring striking new work by longtime studio member and artist Lucy Grainge.
The exhibition kicks off with a celebratory Opening Night on Thursday, 10 September 2026, and runs through 5 October 2026.
Visualising the Mind Through Ink and Paper
Developed during a recent artist residency at Kypseli Print Studio in Athens and finalized right here at Sonsoles Print Studio, Lucy’s new body of work is a deeply personal and visually captivating project.
Using screen printing as her primary medium, Lucy explores neurodiversity—specifically diving into concepts of flow, hyperfocus, distractibility, and chaos.
Visitors can experience the concepts through several key elements: the fragmented letterforms and creative writing woven into abstract designs. Layered vibrant colours overlays that build visual depth and energy.Repetitive geometric shapes that mimic the rhythmic, cyclical nature of thought processes.
The resulting prints are sharp in colours, thought-provoking, and offer a unique window into how we process language, focus, and movement.
Own a Piece of the Exhibition: Limited-Edition Print Drop
In addition to the gallery display, Lucy has been busy at our print tables hand-pulling an exclusive series of limited-edition screen prints.
These editions will be available for purchase only at Sonsoles Print Studio for the duration of the exhibition. Whether you are an avid art collector or looking for the perfect statement piece for your Peckham home, this is a rare opportunity to buy original, locally produced art directly from the artist.
14 Years of Creative Community at Print Village
Founded in 2012 by artist and Royal College of Art graduate Sonsoles (Soni) Marquez, SPS started with a simple mission: to provide an open-access, collaborative space where local printmakers could thrive.
Over the last 14 years, our home in Peckham’s Print Village has grown into a vital creative sanctuary. Hosting Lucy's solo show is the perfect reflection of what SPS stands for—nurturing talent, fostering connection, and keeping the physical craft of screen printing alive in London.
