At SPS, we welcome experienced screen printers who feel confident working independently in our studio. While a technician is always available to assist with technical queries, our members are expected to have the skills to print unassisted. If you’re feeling a bit rusty, we highly recommend one of our Courses to refresh your skills.
To become a member you must first book an induction, typically held on a Wednesday or Saturday. We advise scheduling this within 10 days of your first session. Email the studio to book : info@sonsolesprintstudio.co.uk.
The induction costs £36 or £18 if you've completed our workshop. It covers mandatory health and safety guidance and demonstrates our screen preparation and exposure procedures.
You then purchase a membership for £120/year and a minimum of 4 sessions for £100. Payment is taken in-house on the day of the induction.
Subsequent sessions are ‘pay as you go’ and booked online. Sessions last 3 hours and cost £26.40 or less if bought in bulk.
Preparation time is free and unlimited, within opening times, granting access for screen exposure, colour mixing, paper cutting and getting your artwork ready (as long as you have a pre-booked session).
We have two A0 tables and two A1 vacuum tables, screens to hire for paper and textiles, (check sizes with us if you’d like to bring your own.) We stock all necessary materials but you can bring your own paper and water-based inks. Oil based inks and your own emulsion is not permitted.

Our Day Pass is perfect for those who need occasional access or simply want to explore the benefits of our fully-equipped studio without the commitment of membership.
Advantages of day pass:
• Morning Pass: 10-2pm or Full Day: 10-5pm.
• Screens are coated, artwork exposed and set up on the print table, ready to use when you arrive.
• Screens are stripped and cleaned for you at the end of the session.

Your safety is our priority. We provide a thorough induction that covers all health and safety procedures. Our studio is equipped with safety gear and guidelines are prominently displayed. Our technician is always on hand to assist and ensure a safe working environment
We understand the need for flexibility, but for security reasons, we cannot be open 24 hours. We also believe an organised studio needs to have a technician present at all times to ensure everything runs smoothly. Some individuals can be messier than others, so maintaining specific hours helps us keep everything clean and well cared for. We appreciate your understanding!
Yes! It is free to access the studio to prepare ahead of your session. With prior notice- you can come any time to coat and expose screens, mix inks etc.
Because of the nature of our membership our storage facilities are for ongoing projects only.
Yes, we can provide you with the documents you’ll need to sign during your induction. Feel free to request them if you'd like to review them before signing up or coming into the studio.
